I would like to briefly share my experience of how Kazakhs authoritarian regime weaponised transnational global energy company for political persecution. 
The Nazarbayev-Tokayev regime used three main mechanisms against me: 

First, they accused against me politically motivated cases with accusations of money laundering, security threats (financing of extremist’s activities), and on this basis they are blocked my personal and business bank accounts, initiated Interpol warrant arrest, deprived my Kazakhs citizenship and then captured all of my businesses in Kazakhstan; 

Second, taking political hostages, torturing and putting my family members and associates to prison or putting them to death, like in the case of my older brother Kalyk; 

Third, weaponising “Chevron Corporation”, one of the largest energy companies in the World, which is based in the United States, to persecute me.
These persecutions are all aimed at halting my activities in advocacy of Human Rights and Environment and participation in the Peaceful opposition movement.
 Also Kazakhs regime wanted to stop me in providing material and financial assistance to victims of political repression in Kazakhstan.
