Together with our partners, we publish the following information:

1) Preventive political persecutions up to 27 March 2021 (22 to 26 March):
- 30 cases in 11 cities and localities. Of these:

- 2 political criminal cases: Orynbai OKHASOV (Uralsk) - Article 405 Part 2 ("participation in an extremist organisation") for participating in a peaceful authorised protest in Uralsk on 28 February 2021; Roman REIKHERT (Aktobe region) - Article 378 Part 1 ("insulting a public official");

- 2 political administrative cases: Roman REIKHERT ("petty hooliganism" - Article 434 Part 1. Pending trial), Zhambyl KOBEISINOV (Mangistau, 10 days);
- 27 cases of other forms of persecution, including police summonses, dismissals from work, and external surveillance.

Please note: 1 case = 1 person.

2) Political persecutions on the day of peaceful protest on 27 March 2021:
- 129 cases of political persecution in 21 cities and localities. Of these:

- 1 political criminal case against civil activist Askar KALASOV (Aktobe, Article 405 Part 2 - "participation in an extremist organisation");

- 75 arbitrary detentions;
⠀
- 2 administrative arrests (5-10 days): Feruza URDABEKOVA (10 days for "violation of the law on peaceful assembly", Article 488, Astana), Bekbulat UTEBAYEV (5 days under Article 488, Uralsk);

- 1 administrative fine ($146): Mukhamed DOSPULOV (Article 488, Almaty).
