POLITICALLY MOTIVATED CRIMINAL CASE IN CONNECTION WITH PEACEFUL PROTESTS ON 27 MARCH 2021

 
On 27 March 2021, judge Beisembayev N.K. illegally placed civil activist Askar Kalassov under house arrest for 2 months for the duration of investigation of his politically motivated criminal case under Article 405 Part 2 ("participation in an extremist organisation").
 
The basis for the criminal case:
 
"Kalassov A.J. between 25 and 31 December 2020, being an active member of extremist organization DCK, being clearly aware of the court decision, which came into force in relation to the above-mentioned organization and its banning on the entire territory of the RK due to the implementation of extremism, at his residence address, interfering with the public order, in order to actively assist the leader and other leaders of the DCK, to destabilize the social situation, through an unidentified device logged into Facebook from his page "Askar Kalassov" providing support as an active participant of the extremist organization and wrote a text calling on the people to seize power by force and participate in the rally. "
 
The criminal case is being handled by: Head of Investigation Division of the Police Department of Aktobe region, Lieutenant Colonel of Police, Abdullin E.A. A police officer, an operative investigator of the department for combating "extremism" of Police Department of the Aktobe region Kalybayev A.M. wrote reports on Kalassov Askar.
